Here's the story of a lady who tried to get a prescription for emergency contraception in Ohio. Apparently in Ohio, if you aren't raped or married, no doctor will prescribe it for you. Bet you Ohioites can't wait until your local pharmacy starts stocking the OTC stuff, right?

Apparently it is illegal to film Katrina evacuees if they are living next to an Exxon refinery (and as a result, exposing the fact that they have to breath the poisoned air). Here is the link to the story for which they are in trouble.

Wanna make an easy buck (looney) in Canada? Just steal a house. All you have to do is forge the home owner's signature and you can sell the house to one of your friends. Laws in Canada protect home-buyers above home-sellers if the buy is unaware of the scam. Although the seller will eventually get the money from the sale, you can buy a house for half price! The NH Supreme Court recently ruled that if it appeared that items might be contraband, even if unproven in court, they will not be returned to the original owner.
