Professor at Calvin "College" asked to step down when he writes a paper on science

08/16/11
Duuuuhhhh....Derp?

John Schneider, a former tenured teacher at Calvin "College," was asked to quit by the college over the paper he wrote that suggested genetics and science might just conflict with the literal interpretation of the book of Genesis. Genesis, of course, has two different creation stories so...you know...they should both be accepted literally.

Yet another study proves that delaying sex leads to better/more stable relationships

12/29/10
Typical Happily Married Couple
Delaying sex makes for a more satisfying and stable relationship later on, new research finds. It's not a slam dunk (just like not all couples that have sex on the first date fail) but you get better odds if you wait a bit.

Study shows that teacher layoffs based on seniority are bad for students

Sister Mary Elephant

Who'd have thunk it? A study of recent proposed teacher layoffs in Washington state shows that the practice of layoffs being based on seniority, as most union contracts require, get rid of some of the best/most needed teachers. Naturally, teachers union reps have a problem with its conclusions.

What Kind of Flirt are you?

12/21/10
This was many, many years ago...
The University of Kansas is offering a scientific survey that will predict what type of flirt you are. There are 5 categories: Physical, Traditional, Polite, Sincere and Playful.

Here's how I scored:
- Physical - 70-80%
- Traditional - 30-40%
- Polite - 10-20%
- Sincere - 50-60%
- Playful - 50-60%

Here's what it says about my last (current) relationship:
"In your last serious relationship, it was somewhat likely that you:
- Felt attracted right away.
- Were successful when you flirted using your body language."

Pretty accurate, right Sierra? And BTW - That pic is from many, many years ago ;)
