Patrick Markey of Villanova University has published a study in Evolution and Human Behavior concerning the "challenge hypothesis." The hypothesis goes something like this: when a male wins a fight for a mate, his testosterone goes up and when he looses, it goes down. How did Patrick Markey study it? Among others, he tracked states that voted in the 2008 presidential elections. In the states that voted for Obama, pornography web traffic went up on election night. In those that voted for McCain, pornography traffic went down on election night.

So ladies, if the Congressman you and your husband voted for wins next week, you better knock on the door of your husband's office instead of just barging in...

We've been eating genetically modified (GM) vegetables for years so I don't really have a problem with eating GM fish. So...those repressed childhood memories of the priest molesting you in the confessional? Yeah, you made them up (or your psychologist did). Turns out that traumatic events like being sexually assaulted are actually made STRONGER by the trauma, rather than the folklore idea of them being buried. It makes sense. Some of my strongest memories are the worst memories from my past: first time I was beaten up, when my ex cheated on me, the time Bailey almost died, etc.

So where do those memories come from? Most likely crazy people looking for sympathy or inept psychologists.
