08/27/10
Your unsafe activity must be less unsafe!

In an effort to make bullets less lethal, the EPA wants to prohibit the use of lead in the manufacturing of said bullets. Wrap your mind around that one.

China is trying to replace Japan as king of the Random Wacky Shit videos

08/27/10

From the Youtube comments:

abxxxh: Sweet jesus I'm chinese and I understand the whole thing, I'm going to dip myself into a ocean of brain bleach right now.

It is supposed to be a romantic music about boy wooing girls, but it turns out to be totally risqué, singers are bragging about their sexual prowess, trading insults against each other about physical traits, hammy jokes about 'loaded 20-shot pistol', 'drinking the gruel', and jokes of Ménage à trois. Consider youself lucky if you don't speak chinese. :(

Women interested in getting a raise should be sure to wash their vaginas

08/27/10
Wash that vagina!

That's the advice from this ad from Summer's Eve. This reminds me of the public service announcement: Women - Know your limits.

Hopefully Michael and Karen will avoid Prince George's Hospital if they get sick in their new house...

08/25/10
Rent-a-cops. I hate Rent-a-cops TOO!
Joseph Wheeler was involved in a very serious car accident and woke up in Prince George's Hospital in UPPER MARLBORO, MD. He claims that when he asked for some food from the nurse, she told him he couldn't eat because of his upcoming surgery to remove a cancerous growth. Apparently they mis-identified him. When no explanation of this could convince the hospital, he attempted to leave.

The hospital rent-a-cops allegedly responded with EXTREME PREJUDICE! After his escape to a real hospital, he is suing Prince George's Hospital for $12.7 million.

Note - I can't find any other references to this story on the net so take it with a grain of salt. Generally, Courthousenews.com is a pretty reputable source.

Antwun Parker (armed robber, killed by the person he was robbing) is a hero?

08/21/10
Antwun Parker's mom keeps using that word. I do not think it means what she thinks it means...

When asked about the people who called Jerome Ersland a "hero" for defending himself and killing one of his robbers, Cleta Jennings, bad mother of the dead robber, said that actually...her son is the hero. Well doesn't that reflect well on the Oklahoma city community?

Derrick Z. Jackson wonders why Girls aren't allowed in the Boy Scouts

08/08/10
Derrick Z Jackson has never heard about the Girl Scouts

The Boston Globe website published an article/op-ed by Derrick Z. Jackson in which he pointed out the sexism rife in Boy Scouts. While the Boy Scouts offer leadership training, outdoors exercise and teamwork skills to boys, they shun girls. Perhaps someone should start an organization in which GIRLS are trained as SCOUTS. If you want to see some real wit, view the comments at the bottom of the article.

This is why newspapers are failing. Quality journalism is dead.

Christian Science Monitor: Prepare for the imminent Evangelical collapse

08/04/10
Derp

This is an interestingly hopeful article about the soon-to-come collapse of the Christian Taliban.

Exerpt:

Ironically, the billions of dollars we've spent on youth ministers, Christian music, publishing, and media has produced a culture of young Christians who know next to nothing about their own faith except how they feel about it.
